Well i would stick with one or the other. It's hard to make a high compression all motor and turn it into low compression built turbo motor. But i would stay all motor in my opinion. Take that B20 block and put a GSR or civic type r head on it. And the only tranny for a built NA is a ITR or CTR LSD tranny. That may sound like only the best of best but i love NA and a well built one is dangerous on the street or at the track.

b20 sleeves on boost will die in a fire. literally. and their borexstroke ratio will not like boost either. if you're getting a b20 then keep it NA

This man speaks the truth.

And if you must do a CR/VTEC, do it right. B20 bottom end with a GSR head will also die in a fire if you don't cover all the bases.

b16a heads are common on a b20 block. You get more "squish" out of it for compressoion then a gsr head.

b20 sleeves are only 3mm thinner than a B18's. They can and do hold up fine under boost if you dont go acting like a retard and trying to get 300+whp with it. As far as head/transmission combo you can go with a B16A head which would require you to plumb the block for vtec- not a bad setup if done right and you are looking at H22 or better kinds of numbers with bolt-ons. B18B head- Also a good cheap combo and alot less work. The B18B head flows a tad bit better than a B20 head.

As far as transmission there is only 1 that is worth the swap IMHO and that is a B16A transmission, shorter gears mean the world in a car like a civic with or without boost.

i dotn know if im reading that wrong...but from what im interpreting that as its not right. GSR heads have a higher compression than SIR heads. thats why everyone always says that an SIR head on a GSR block is one of the best setups for boost.
