Beef up an LS motor or Swap..
I have a 00 civic with the ls motor and cant decide either to beef up the Ls motor and add the Si head or Swap out the motor and Add the GSR motor.
I have questions tho...
If ill go with the LS/VTEC head swap i know i want to change the LS bottom end. But if i change the Crankshaft, rods, and pistons will i be able to revv higher than the Stock LS parts? Like around 9Grand?
What parts from the LS head i can trasfer to the GSR head? I.E Intake manifold Headers Cam gears etc.
If i go with the GSR Motor swap what will i need to do the swap?

axles , shift linkage , ecu , mounts search its all been covered before

just swap to a b18c... for what you want, it'll cost less in the long run (in addition to having transmission with shorter gears). You can make an ls/tvec rev high reliably, but it's not even close to cheap.
