blew my head!!
i was drivin home from the gas station today and a sparkplug shot out of the head of my car. i currently have the d16y7 motor and head in, but i have all the parts needed for a mini-me swap. i also have a jackson racing supercharger on the way, so i was thinkin of just pulling the whole motor and rebuilding it from the ground up for the supercharger... what do you guys think?... any ideas on what internals? pistons, cam shafts, etc.?... thanks!

Yeah you probably wont get past 200-215whp with a supercharger on the dseries but that would be plenty quick plus you could add some spray later on to reach your goal. But if you havent already bought the supercharger look into to going the turbo route. Do the mini me swap put in vitara pistons forged rods arp head studs and your block should be ready for some boost.

RE: blew my head!!
yeah... thanks guys... i been doin alot of readin since i blew my head yesterday... i will go the turbo route after i get the engine built... ive decided on 75mm vitara pistons, eagle H beam rods, cometic HG, zex 105300 camshaft, and the arp Headbolts. now as far as the head, its a Y8 head, and ive been doing alot of reading on valves, springs and retainers, but not sure what setup would be best with the Y8 head, any info on that would be appreciated.
