Default bore size help

I've decided to keep my d16y8 and build it. I've been looking at some good setups. My question is: I seen a 502 WHP set up with a 75 mm bore and 8:1 CR. I found a set of Wisecopistons but they are 75.5 mm and 8.8-9:1 CR. How much of a differerence would this make?

75.5mm pistons will work as long as you get your block bored .20 over. Do you know about Vitaras? They can hold 400whp and are about $100. 8.8-9.1 is fine, just make sure you dont turn the boost up as high as a guy with 8:1 compression as you will detonate faster. Last, I hope you arnt wanting to make 500whp with a ****ing front wheel drive street driven civic, youll hate your life and your car.

Uh,...well.....I kinda did want to make a 500 HP fwd street Civic. But, at the same time I don't want to hate my life and my car....So. how bad could it be? And, yes I've heard of Vitaras but never heard much about their reliability. Heres a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-H...spagenameZWDVW
So, is it worth it? Should I trust it? Sorry for the dumb questions but I'm new to the Honda world. See, I came from a '95 Mustang strait to a '91 Civic SI.

Ya I bought that kit last year. Vitaras are great pistons and will hold loads of boost and they cost waaaay less. It is worth it. As for the power thing, if you dont mind not having a 1st 2nd gear then your okay I guess. Oh and buying a new $400 clutch and tires every 3-6 months. Or if you want you could buy a big GT35 turbo and drive around under boost for most of the time.
