Default Building up D16Y8

So in the future, I'd like to build up a Y8 while on stands to be able to handle 350+ hp, and was looking into parts I'd need etc.

All ready in my list is:
Engine
Rods: Eagle H Beam
Pistons: CP
Bearings: ACL
Sleeving: Was thinking of forking out the dough and getting Benson to do the sleeving, port & polish/valves & crank balancing
Studs: ARP
FP: Walbro 255lph
Injectorselphi 1000cc (overkill probably)
Cams: ??
Cam gear: ??
IM: Skunk2 Pro
TB: Skunk2 68mm
CatBack: GReddy SP2
I know I'm missing stuff... but for the life of me, I can't figure out what?

and beyond just the engine build...

Turbo setup
Manifold: something AC/PS friendly
Turbo: not decided here, I want to push 350whp, maybe as mush as 400whp
Oil lines: as needed from tuner toys probably ($85 is hard to beat)
Intercooler:
Downpipe: custom self fab most likely
BOV: not sure here yet, want it to be damn near silent, probably GReddy
Charge piping: probably self fab
ECU tune

I'm sure I'm missing tons of stuff (mainly because I haven't been pricing or sourcing my turbo stuff yet, or really fully thought it through yet)

also a ton of other stuff on the list (too much to bother typing out)..

basically I want to take my stock 98 DX coupe from it's crappy D series Auto(Y7 FTL) to a high powered D series 5spd rice rocket (in a good way of course)

thinking ultimate sleeper, with some subtle exterior changes (headlights etc) and lots of CF, but with a stock paint job (only CF showing would be a type R lip), lowered, and Si rims. other than that it'll look completely stock...

probably do the interior up as well, but that's longer off..

the whole build is far off, but I plan on buying the Y8 block within the year, and sending it off for sleeving etc, then putting it on an engine stand to do the rest of the work myself

looking for some more help/ideas on parts/criticism in setup, and maybe less costly alternatives to what I'm thinking all ready

Almost anything would be less costly... but that would be friggin' sweet.

Rock the D.

See what RS Machine charges for sleeving. And the injectors are overkill.

Youre going to wanna ditch the AC........this way you can get a ram horn turbo manifold.

i agree you will not have enough room under your hood and by getting rid of the a/c it gives you A LOT of more room. i would suggest a steel oil pan and upgraded oil pump. look what happened to Forty04's car.

^Truth.

Buy an OEM y8 oil pump, and bore the ports. ( I swear I will post that DIY one of these days..). Then you can drop out the stocker and put in the bored one.

And yes, a steel oil pan is also a good investment

full-race makes ram-horns that will keep your AC

but i agree with getting rid of it. its just another belt that sucks power.

dur...

knew i was forgetting some stuff... just couldn't think what...

dunno how my gf would feel about a car with no AC...

though, wonder if I could make the rear triangle windows roll down (among the list of upgrades is power doors/locks/alarm etc as well)
