mm i guess we're both right in a way. they sell 'em for B's but not D's.

I'm sure they could fab one for you for $. But there's probably other companies out there that'll do it cheaper. Try AFI (Arizona Forced Induction).

what's the OEM oil pan made of?

or should I go for a Moroso or something?

OEM y8 oil pan is aluminum. As long as your bung is welded properly it should be ok. But, if you want that extra bit of insurance, Moroso wouldn't hurt

heh.. i wouldn't worry about my welding skills... i didn't learn to tig weld for nothing...


also, moroso doesn't make a pan for the Y8, or D series even... only B


what are the Y7 pans made of? steel? do they fit?

The bottom end of the Y7 is the exact as the Y8... im sure they share the same pan.

you can use any 88+ D series pan and the 92-95's had steel

Are you positive on that?? I thought the 5th gens were different from the 6th gens
