burnt out engine

Default burnt out engine

so... I dont know my engine very well, but i know its not working. I just wanted to know what has to be done to switch out an egine and replace it with a more powerful engine. Does the tranny HAVE to go? tell me everything! please!!!

90 civic hatchback with the 1.5 5-speed 4 cylinder. Im willing to just trick out a nice V4, but if i can some how fit a V6 in with out having to change the tranny, then i'd rather do that.

start with a Si engine... I think its the B16A that will do the trick, not sure. Im sure others will tell you. Im moving this to the engine department where you will get more attention.

Check out the ED-EF Swaps on the Main Page. That'll give you some ideas. Then, once you have boned up on that and have a general idea about what engine you want/can afford, google it, looking for specs, more info, and places that sell that type of engine.
