Default Burnt out switches?

So i have two switches wired into the same wire going to the fuse box. Ones for underglow and ones for under dash neons. I had my underdash neons on (the swtiches have LEDs on them btw), and then i flicked to the underbody neons on and they came on for a second then both teh switches shut off (no LEDs on, no neons on). I thoguht i just blew a fuse, but looked under there and noticed that the fuse was in perfect condition. Is it possible to burn out switches? They're just cheap $5 Wal-Mart swithces with a Green LED on them. Think i just ran too much current through them? Never happened to me before, i mean i've had both underbody and underdash neons on at the same time quite a bit. Ideas?

switches are easy to check; take them out.
need an ohm meter (testing continuity)

Do they work now? As long as they are 12V automotive switchs they will be fine, i used wallmart switches before and they were fine. Its the way you have it hooked up, I would make sure you have the right size fuses in there.

Replace your fuses. Even if they look fine, they can be bad. Sometime the little fuseable link in them will burn out off to one side or the other and you wont see it.
