if you did a stage 2 with a full valvetrain, and the boost. You could be looking a 20 whp. i would look into a fuel upgrade though.

you dont want a stage 2. its got too much overlap for a turbo. get the turbo grind. it will give you a lot more power than the NA grinds, and a lot better response as well.

Is there a magic number as far as overlap? What is the point of diminishing return? Crower has a sale on their Stage1 right now and they say "great for turbo or SC applications"

Is a stage1 enough of an upgrade to warrant a cam swap?

Pete, how did you get the boost up to 7, I thought you were are 6? Hows the extra pound?

Also, what the hell is a turbo grind?

"Grind" is just the term for the specs, or characteristics of the cam. It's like machinist slang.

not sure 93fastcivic.......the drop in temperature has my turbo spiking at 7 psi.........when the weather is colder the turbo is more efficient............so it tends to boost an extra pound or so.

Lol, mine spikes too in cold weather. If I turn on the IC sprayer in the cold at night it will spike to about 26 psi.

Anyway, as for the overlap with FI I pretty sure you want as little as possible if any at all.

thats weird, usually when you install an intercooler the boost drops down a pound or so, and thats becuase the air is cooler and denser. Now were talking cold weather, and the boost spikes, hmm.
