Adjusting stock cam degree's w/aftermarket cam gears!
Hi all!!
Okay.. So I have come across some 5-bolt, AEM adjustable cam gears. They look pretty and all, but im still running a stockjdmb16a so I know they are not going to make much of a HPdiffrence. BUT, I did come across them cheap so why not learn how to degree these for thefuture no?I dont have a dyno nor do I have any means of data logging or tuning these other than by ear or stop watch. I dont want to mess with my LSA or lobe durration to much for a stock b16. Any help out there? Would you reccomend setting the intake at +1 degree and the exhaust -1 degree?Who else has done this to stock cams??
Also my mods are: I/H/E, underdrivepulleys, centerforce duel friction clutch w/ACT prolite flywheel.

RE: Adjusting stock cam degree's w/aftermarket cam gears!
The mod is complete, the car has a more broader powerband and seems way smoother in Vtec than normal. 1+ to the intake and 1- to the exhaust. The mod took myself and a freind 2 1/2 hours to complete with timeing and everything.!!
Cheers,
Chris
