hi peps what is up? i have 1.5l civic 91 hb i have lightened it by a lot wheel walls power steering ac crx interior cold air heads back all hi proformane radeator jbm hood 2001 lights coilover polyurathan bushing lowerd orange drag seats in front ford probe rear seats lol more but to lazy please help with camshaft, and a few more

 

hmmmmmmn i never knew the crx door panels would fit in the hatch....interesting. as far as a cam, a factory crx/civic si cam would help you out some compared to your d15 cam..... also another thing you may want to look into is a mpfi conversion and do away with the dpfi system. you will notice much better throttle response and better power delivery. but as far as the cam is concerned you can look into finding an a6 cam which i have 2 if your interested or you could send your cam to delta cams and get yourself the 272 regrind which is fairly poular with the single cam guys here. that regrind runs about $100 and usually a 3 day turn around.

 

Ive heard bad things about regrinds on Hondas but have never actually tried one out myself.


What is the 272? Sounds real DSM to me

ya, i really was kidding. obx and apc are among the crap de la crap when it comes to tuning. and yes punctuation tends to be helpful tool when reading or writing.

you know whats funny though? i really do have an OBX camshaft. I didnt know any better so i started buying all sorts of crap off ebay. i hope it doesnt fly apart inside the valve cover destroying my valves maybe more. we'll see.

 

If OBX is so horrible how do they get away with charging some of those prices. I mean some of their stuff is just as expensive as "quality" parts.

 

i dont know. the only OBX part i have in my car is the cam. I paid 250 for it with shipping. thought i made a great deal. i regret buying it now because i have heard so many bad things about it after doing a little research. i wish i had researched it before hand but i was in a rush to buy all my parts at once. i wanted to install my motor right then and there and i had a couple grand to spend on extras so i just bought as much as i could at once. one thing tho: i looked and looked at forum after forum, and only found 3 people so far that installed the cam and they didnt report any problems on it. i was unable to find ANY reviews of OBX cams. only thing i found was thread after thread of OBX bashing. but none of them actually owned any OBX parts. whats the deal? maybe someone on this site has some input on OBX cams that is real and has to do with actual experience. your que here Sacicons. he seems to always have the answer maybe he can tell me / us.

 

I have OBX spark plugs...no damned difference what so ever from the stock ones...
