Default Car is NOT turning on......

Well my car had low battery and my friend told me he had jumper cables so we were going to charge the battery. Then sparks started to come out the positive terminal and then I immediately took the jumper cables as fast as I could and found out that my friend had connected it wrong. NOW is not turning on at all. When I turn the key to turn it on not even the lights in the dashboard turn on...is there anything I should check or do to help me turn it on.

Not good. Check for blown fuses under the hood, especially the large 80A fuse.
