Thank You Lost, that post was very informative. I was also wondering if it would just be easyer to put in and D17A2 in the place of my A1 non vtec. ( If anyone has done this head job on a D17 let me know how it went )
List of Parts: Needed for a D17A2Vtec Head Swap
Required:
D17A2 Cylinder Head (Including distributor cap, valve cover, plugs/wires, VTEC solenoid, etc)
D17A2 Head Gasket
Apexi Neo Air Fuel & VTEC Controller
D17A2 Timing Belt
Wire and plug for VTEC oil pressure switch
Optional:
D17A2 Intake Manifold
D17A2 Exhaust Manifold
*If you remove your manifolds, make sure you get new gaskets*
Recommended:
NEW OEM-
Water Pump
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Valve Cover Gasket
Distributor cap and rotor
