Default Oil change at non-honda dealers for 2010 civic

Hi all,
I have a 2010 Honda Civic and previously i have always taken it to the honda dealer to get an oil change. I read some where that the honda oil is somehow different (not sure if this is true). I am wondering if i can take my car to other dealers for an oil change. Shouldn't all the oil be similar? Thanks.

As far as I know, most oils are basically the same. Except for Synthetic vs. Dinosaur oil. They are pretty much formulated with different additives. I normally use Mobil 1 in my 07 Civic.

Be sure to keep your receipts if the car is still under warranty as if there's a problem you will have to prove that you changed the oil.
