civic tranny

Default civic tranny

hi everybody, am changing the tranny on my civic dx its a automatic 1997 and the tranny i want to put on is from a 1999 si. I just dont know if it will fit on my dx.Eny ideas thasnks

You should consider posting in the Tranny/ Differential section instead of the Engine & Internals section.

it won't fit, because the 99-00 Si has a b-series engine and you have a d-series engine

you need a hydraulic (means it uses clutch fluid) transmission from a D-series engine.
any 92-00 civic tranny besides 99-00 Si will work, as long as it's a hydro tranny.
