Civic Valve Cover Bolts Torque?

Exclamation Civic Valve Cover Bolts Torque?

hello, this weekend i have decided to paint my valve cover, i know hot to take it off and put it back on again but im not sure what torque the valve cover volts should be set to, i have a 1998 ej9 hatch civic. thanks and if u dont know where can i find out?

7 ft lbs IIRC. It is listed in Haynes manuals, or by searching on Google.

ok thanks mate, now need 2 buy torque wrench lol

Meh, you do not necessarily need one. Just make them a little snug and tighten them in the proper sequence and you shouldn't have a problem. If you plan on continually doing work to your car, a torque wrench would be a good idea.

ok thanks i'll spray it this weekend, and the only other things i plan to do is new exhaust, alloys and resprayed hood
