valve cover bolts
So i finally got to doing my timing belt change and within the first 20 minutes I broke two bolts on my valve cover so I decided to give up and let the job be a mechanics problem instead of mine.
I broke the bottom-middle and bottom-left bolt. I put it back together and they are loosely pressed in place, but will it be ok to drive for a few days?

use a retractor bit i know youve seen those tv adds with the gator grip or what ever the hell its called.LOL
basically its a small drill that cuts into the old busted bolt and then another drill bit that will bit into the bolt and pull it out.
they should come out easily enough since they are just valve cover bolts.

If the very tip of the bolt snapped off down in there you may not get it out. You can try rooting around in there but since it's an aluminum block you may risk damaging the threads. Then you'll be paying some serious moula to get it re-threaded. Had this happen to one bolt on my valve cover, Just screwed the rest of the bolts down tight and used a good gasket sealant. Hadn't had a single leak yet and it's been two years, still holding up strong. Then if you ever want to take the valvecover off you can easily just pry it off with a flathead, then just reapply. Make sure to buy new valve cover bolts when re fitting it, over time those bolts get weakened due to heat and often times snap. They only need 14lbs of tq. or something like that.
