Default compression test results

did a compression test today for no real reason other than curiosity, never done one before. here the results:

cylinder 4: 190 PSI, 3: 200 PSI, 2: 190 PSI, 1: 190 PSI.

the standard pressure is supposed to be 184 PSI, the minimum is 135 PSI, and the maximum variation between cylinders is 28 PSI. cylinders 1, 2, and 4 seem a little higher than standard but dont seem to be a concern, maybe a little bit ofcarbon deposits.im wondering why cylinder 3 is a little higher? i figure its ok since its a good bit under the maximum variation but iam curious to what may be the cause. mind you my motor has 184k miles and has never had any kind of major work done like replaced head gasket and whatnot.

thanks!

those numbers are way good man, my b8 had 150 across the board, my b7 had 175s across the board, i would be perfectly happy with 190-200

Out of curiousity, did you hold it at WOT while checking each cylinder?
