Default D series compatability... specifically shortblocks

I have a d16Y8 and need a new shortblock... Does the D16 have the same shortblock as a d16y7 or D16z6 etc etc....? From my searches, i found that they have the same bore and stroke.. buts that about as much as i could find. I really just need to know if i bought any dseries shortblock, would everything from my d16y8 bolt up?
Thanks!

(P.S. if anyone has one, or a full d16y8 motor.. let me know!)

Yea it'll bolt up.
All d-series heads and blocks are compatible with each other. (except DOHC ZC)

I think you have to remove the oil jet on the new block if the new block was non-VTEC (D16Y7). That way you'll still have VTEC. This is not required on the D16Z6 though because that motor has VTEC.

^ yup.. and single-cam d-series block will bolt right up. And check craigslist, you can usually find z6's for $300-ish.
