OK...I want to run at least 400hp not in one day of course but over a lil while...is it possible to get the K swapped in or just smarter to go with a B?

400 whp isn't particularly hard on a B-series. It's not cheap, but it's pretty straightforward. I'd go with it over a K-series any day. It'll wind up being cheaper.

i would say go with either a b16 or b18 for what it sounds like you want to do

k...the b18 starts out higher hp but which is easier to get higher hp out of i heard the b16 were way better to turbo

Classic D-series fangirl talk... B>D and you know it. Sure the D is cheaper since you don't have to swap, but boo hoo.

Now then, for boost, the LS is a better engine until you put a few grand into the B16A.

better? meh, I guess if more power makes you instantly better.

Easier? definitely. Hence the statement

the b16 is highly overrated IMO. it has almost no torque over the d16 and the b18 is way more tunable.
