And my comparison was between the B16 and the LS. The LS has a significantly lower CR and higher initial torque... what else could you ask for in a boost engine (and don't say VTEC or I'll punch you in the nuts
).That standing, the LS is a better boost motor than the D too.
an LS would be sweet. itd be pretty sweet if you got someone to do an LS/VTEC conversion on here. i know there was a guy who was here every once in a while who built a sweet one...search for 'LS build for you to see' or something like that.
I've heard the ls/vtec conversion is a bad idea with a turbo for a d.d. They both require an external oil feed line, and at idle or stop light or w.e. your engine isnt going to be able to feed them both properly.
if you have the money go with a b16a2 swap and a turbo....
but if you want a quick hp change then get new rods and pistons and then turbo the hell out of the D
the d series can make sweet hp out of a turbo, so there is nothing wrong with a turboed d series motor
