Listen i just started this forum 5 minutes ago. i have almost the same problem but my motor is from japan. we both have the d15b and it took me awhile but i did some research. You can get well over 200 horsepower out of that motor. Go with JE Pistons and rings, bore out the block to a 1.6 liter. Fuel rail, Venom fuel injectors, shunk2 intake manifold, shunk2 throttle body, 3 inch air intake, dc headers and get you a turbo kit to top it off. Thats everything i am doing to my car. once i get it bored out im going to ask around about the valve, springs, and retainers. With all that you can smoke donuts around those b series motors

fail detected.

just boost it. you arent going to get a DC header and then boost it, because that would be retarded. Also, i wouldnt plan on getting an intake and then boosting. That also, would be retarded.

^ditto

but anyway, the D15B is a pretty decent SOHC motor. it's worth buidling or turboing

Yeah you have pretty much the best d series motor I would keep it and just boost it . There is no reason for you to get a header, intake, fuel rail at all if you go turbo also I wouldnt waste money on the skunk2 intake manifold or throttlebody. There is no reason to get pistons unless you are getting forged rods as well and if you are going to boost it I would go with vitaras because they are less exprensive piston wise. Now if you want to keep it naturally aspirated look into higher comp pistons and major head and valvetrain work with a good cam and either way finish it up with a good tune on a chipped ecu
