Default d16 potential

whats the power potential for a d16 with a turbo built internals ect. or would it be better just to by the b16 off the bat.

The lower compression on the z6 is better for turbo but the b16 has more horse power to start off with like 40 more hp over z6.With a built d16 you can achieve over 400hp.I say stay with you d-series

a fully built d can see over 300 whp with a good tune. and be reliable for a long time if its not abused and its built correctly

I have seen 600 to 650whp out of them built on vids, used to talk to a guy that had one built and boost dailr driven tuned and made around 450whp, and there is a thread floating around jeff evans forum of one that is bone stock and boosted making like 310whp and is daily driven.

400 is cake on sohc ds. 500 plus takes some ingenuitive head work.

There are DOHC D-series', but the headsonly fit DOHC D-series blocks.
