Yes, the thermo is fine. Im trying to say that its acting like I turned it on for the first time in 12 hours... you know how the engine will purposely run slightly higher rpms to warm it up and kinda shift faster too? Well, its acting like that, permantetly.

Perhaps a stuck IAC valve? I dunno lol but that's the thing that controls the high idle when you first start up the car...

I think its a bad o2 sensor... because if its bad it will make the engine think its cold by running a little faster... that probably explains why my car has managed to shave off 2 seconds on the 0-60 by itself. Thanks for the advise, I didnt know auto zone does free scans.

Lol... you guys are going to like this. First off, I got the code: "P0135, THE PCM HAS DETERMINED THAT A MALFUNCTION EXISTS IN THE HEATER CIRCUIT FOR OXYGEN SENSOR 1 IN BANK1". Then the next one is: "P1457 UNABLE TO PULL VACUUM IN TANK" Well, problem solved, I replaced my been broken gas cap (I knew it was for awhile but didnt think that had an affect.) and everything is peachy... the brake light stopped coming on when I accelerate. Im sure the o2 sensor is a cheap fix but here is the funny part.

That misterious new pickup is coming from the newer, higher quality air filter! I had some cheap taiwanese air filter on there from the bay. I simply replaced it the other day with a $40 filter becuase I was sick of looking at the currnet one and it was gunky and I didnt feel like cleaning it. Also, this new filter has a big plasic shield around it to keep it from direct heat off the tranny and it will help prevent hydro-stalls by being splash protectant. So, I made a little first grade analogy to the air filter.

"I" before "E" or after c = as it so = Quality not quantity or taiwanese crap.
