have u try to SEARCH before ?! but anyways a mini-me would work in your case. all you doing is putting a EX head (vtec) to a non vtec block. pretty easy http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/view.php?pg=minime

The answers to your questions are in that guide that_guy posted. This is a very commonly asked question and many people on this forum don't like to answer the same question repeatedly when there's a way for you to find out. For future reference, use the "Search" link just under the HondaCivicForum logo.

I believe it's somewhere around 20hp from a mini-me swap... and you won't get a "vtec kick" (thanks for being able to spell vtec correctly btw )... in fact, you won't be able to feel it (and without an intake and exhaust, you probably won't even hear it). Now, if you got a dohc vtec engine, you'd be able to hear it (but you still wouldn't feel a "kick"... it's not exactly a turbo or anything).
Anyway, I'd sit down and figure out exactly what you want to do to your car. Trust me... I've changed my mind so many times with my civic (had my heart set on about 4 different engines, planned on turboing twice, etc)... ask anybody who paid attention to my project thread lol. It's best to just figure out a solid plan and stick to it... it's what I plan on doing with my next car. That way, you don't spend money on the same things over and over again (for example, if you got i/h/e now and got a turbo kit in a year, you'd have wasted how much money on the intake and header since the turbo would replace them)

Yea i know tell me about it...
Ive had my ek for 2 months and im already stressin over it...
I of course wanna throw turbo so that makes sense to wait and not put any i/h/e till i get the vtec then turbo...
Have you seen my car im thinking about dropping it with skunks or should i just save for the engine???
Im willing to throw a b18 type r but it will take me a While with a capital "W" but im willing...
