I have a D16Y8 in my Civic EX right now and i need to rebuild the bottom end. I have the opportunity to buy a FULL D16Y7 swap (axles, trans, ecu, harness, everything) and i want to use my VTEC cylinder head. What do i need and what do i need to do. I want to know everything. I really appreciate this.

 

do a search on "mini-me" there are plenty of write ups. just out of curiousity are you just going to use the d16y7 while you build the y8 block then swap it back out?

 

just a question...why swap for a less powerful engine? why not just rebuild your y8 or get a better engine?
