Default d16z6 head onto d16y8 block q's

doing the swap SOON, and i cant come up with the z6 headstud to make the head fit onto the block... (need 9 d16y8's and 1 d16z6 to go where the vtec sylenoid is in order to make the two fit together)

so my question is, can i use the 9 arp d16y8 headstuds, and one d16z6 oem headstud?

just temporarily until arp gets back with me, because they are f-ing slow and this is the only time i will have to get this motor swapped adn boosted till spring.

you could use the stocker for a little while. personally i wouldnt do it till you have all the parts needed for the swap. being that you "should" remove the head to clean out all stud holes in the block before installing the arp's.

motor is BRAND NEW rebuild, so its all clean and ready to go head is separated from the block atm as well, no headstuds installed at all, still figuring out if i could run the oem one

would i torque the oem stud to the arp specs or to the stock specs?

Is the z6 a better head than the y8? Can somebody link me to more info on this please?

from what i learned from sov, a z6 head is easier to tune than a y8, because there is more room to work with meaning a little more timing i assume

but thats all i know, and im not even sure if thats right.

but sov? i can use it and ill be fine?
