d16z6 and when i get on it the vtec does not kick in. the engine is now in a 92 eg. anyone else having this problem?

 

how do you know it isn't kicking in? On a d16 you won't hear or feel it (for the most part). The only real way to know is to wire up a vtec light. Anyway, I believe vtec won't engage if the engine pressure is too low... and I've heard of some people having trouble with vtec engaging after switching to synthetic oil (though I run synthetic and have no problems).

 

vtec solenoid might have taken a sh*t
