anyone have any input on these.. would they seriously give any type of gain??just curious now cuz LS only 25 hp less than the GSR and costs well over 1k less for the swap .. plus with what Marty said stock b18b can easily be boosted to 300whp ..also if i were to order this and i am plannin on adding one of the crower turbo cams .. should i just have this head left bare vs getting the extras listed on the site.. ie 3 angle valve job and valves etc.. since i would be replacing some of this with new valve springs and lifters correct??.. also one more question.. would i have any problem if i added everything i just mentioned here with some new ARP head studs and drove it around until i got the money for turbo/or supercharger .. and would i see gains prior to boosting.. Thanks.. i know its alot of questions but .. rethinking what i wanna do now that im at a pretty big setback having to rebuy a car and some parts..

well if you want to spend 350 bucks on a head thats just the main body of it be my guest. i personally wouldnt.

 

if you were building like a 600+ hp engine then i would buy it to start on peicing together a motor... but if i was gonna do a whole head build up then it would be a good platform

 

just wondered if i would need it get to 200whp out of a supercharged b18b.. .. yes supercharged.. not turbo bolt on specs with I/H/E on Jacksons site show 160 .. so i need to close a gap of 40 hp.. wondering what else i could change to do this.. and assumed i would need ported/polished head with new cam/cam gear and lifters .. then a good tune should get me to 200 whp with 6 psi correct? i know this is starting to fall into a boost question but this is what im am starting to lookat based on cost and stage ability since funds are gonna be tight from my accident.. also without having the ability to upgrade belts on this S/C can the boost be increased still through a tune?

 

my teg has a stock ls b18 b non-vtec and i was going to do a vtec headswap but i was told to keep the stock head and work on that for more power.
