Oh, one more tidbit of advice.. Go pick up some worm clamps, both big and small. Those crappy Honda pressure clamps won't ever seal correctly again after you take them all off. Worm clamps are a cheap yet solid investment to keep you from getting stupid little leaks.
aaaand side note, does his whole car (motor and all) have over 400k on it? If so....awesome!

yes. it was my original 93 civic CX.
i babied it for the first 130,000 miles and then my brother got it at 150,00 miles.
everything is still original except for the dizzy (replaced this year), front axle(s) and now the radiator.

it's living proof that if you break your honda in correctly (no wide open throttle acceleration or hard braking for the first 600 miles) and do routine maintenance as required, your car can last for almost ever.
