well..lets make this easy..im kinda making it hard
you will have to most likley convert to ob1 as well as wire from multi port...depending on what you got in the rex. if you keep the old tranny you wont have to by the hasport hydro tranny mounts...

look on the block, there is a engine lable close to the base of the head it will say what it is.
if it is stock dx and lx typicaly have d15b7 while cx has the d15b8 si i believe is the d15z6
atleast for the 1992's
but check the block and you will know you can search engine identification you can find a pic that will show you were to look on the block.
about swaping it into a shell, you can put just about any motor into any car, the questions is how much piecing you want to do and how much you want to spend.
piecing is finding various parts that will make a motor work in a diffrent shell, ie axels mounts harness ectra.
