Default Engine BUild

I got a new job that should pay well enough that I can move foreword with my project. While I am set on most of the plan I am still unsure as to which engine I am going t eventually drop in there, even if it is just another Y7 to replace mine should it break. Below I have compiled a list of the mods I am going to perform on whichever engine I choose, the candidates and open ended questions, PLEASE respond with your opinions, ideas, insights and what have you.

PLAN: to build an All Motor engine that I can take out to the track and have fun with while still being tame, efficient and reliable enough to be used as a DD. Regardless of eh engine I plan to bore out to 84mm, re-sleeve and purchase a Brian Crower stroker kit. Obviously I am going to do an intake and have a header installed.

Car is a 1997 LX.

MODIFICATIONS

Compression ratio: ~11.5:1
Cam shaft: Brian Crower Stage 2 or 3
Valve spring: Brian crower w/ Titanium retainers
Valves: Brian Crower stainless valves
Crankshaft: Brian Crower Lightweight stroker crank
Rods: Forged steel rods
Bearings: ACL race bearings
Wrist pins: 9310 series carbon steel alloy
Upgraded radiator
Aftermarket Intake manifold
Larger throttle body

ENGINES

JDM B16A

Pros:
Proven engine
Factory LSD

Cons:
Cannot have as long a stroke
Can be bored to 84mm?

B18B1

Pros:
Easier install
Cheaper

Cons:
No vtec
Least powerful option

B18C1:

Pros:
Proven engine
Lost of info on swapping

Cons:
Cannot fit BBK SSI

B18C5:

Pros:
Powerful stock
Lots of good high end aftermarket parts

Cons:
Expensive

QUESTIONS:

Should I go with a stage 2 or 3 camshaft? I want a lopey idle but I will still need the car to be able to perform below 4000rpm

Should I have the valves made larger? BC sells larger valves and I am not sure if I would benefit from it doing an all motor build.

How difficult is it to wire Vtec into my harness?

Theoretically how high could I rev each of these engines?

That is all I can think of for now. I am sure I am missing out on lots of info so feel free to chime in.

*NOTE* I realize I may get more power for less money out of building a turbo engine and I hink turbos are awesome personally but.....I want an all motor build. *NOTE*
