Why not? What if you are in an emergency situation and you have to drive a manual car? You will suffer for your parents ignorance.

Yeah, it's a useful skill to have. Say you're out with a bunch of drunk people, have to drive them, and all there is is standards.

I 110% agree with that, when i first got th ecivic i found my self really bored... and i missed my Corolla at first, but i got use to it... mind you i loved the Civic from day one, i just wish it was a manual

manuals keep you busy when your driving in the city and they are a lot more fun than autos. i almost fall asleep at the wheel like nail, when i drive my fiance's cougar. i would recommend getting a stick and learning on it. it depends on what engine you want. d series would cost about $1000, b series are up to $2500-4000, k series is about 4000 and a h series is about 3500 i believe. dont quote me on those prices, those are just the numbers i remember when i was researching.

not to get off topic again, but back to the engine, what would be to replacing the engine...unbolting, removing wires...taking out and dropping the new engine in? (in a nut shell)...how hard is it?

Ive said it before, and I will say it again.
