Default estimated cost of a d16y8 head port?

Im looking at a ported and rebuilt head locally for 300. The head has new valves and has been milled 20 thousandths. The rest of the parts were all replaced with new OEM parts. Is this a good deal?

How much would it cost me to do the same at a random machine shop? (roughly)

thanks!

depends on whos doing the work and how far you take the port job...........ive done minor port work which included cleaning all casting marks and gasket matching as well as polishing the exh runners for $300...........the farther you want them to go ie: bowl work the more expensive it will be.

Import or domestic doesn't matter. A head is a head.

Porting is a science and an art, either you have the skill, or you don't.
