Default Finding cheaper parts!!

Hey guys,

In about a month I am wanting to start my engine build on my civic. I have created a list of all parts I will need. The problem is, all the parts I find online are so expensive! They are brand new parts but I am on a budget. Not a tight budget, but defiantly a budget. Where can i score some quality parts for a decent price?

i am also a fan of D series but the d17 im not a fan, the parts for them are really really hard to get because they arent a good motor and nobody really makes aftermarket parts for them.

I know i agree, the d17 is far from hondas best. But the d17 thats in my car has done very well. So I'm proud of it. I run it pretty dang hard and it doesn't talk back lol. I just need to find these parts with out breaking my bank!

well, i'm looking for more power. So what do you recommend if it's a bad idea to build my d17. I don't want to do a swap because i already put a lot of cash into turboing the d17. Should I just look for another car?

i'm not angry that people are talking trash on the d17's just so everyone knows. lol. It just kinda sucks you know? Cause thats what I have and it's my baby. But if its not worth my time then I won't wast anymore money and time on it.

People have built and boosted D17s. It's doable. People have gotten okay results from it. It's just that not many of us are fans because you can't do as much with the D17 platform as you can with the D16 platform.

If it's what YOU want, it's your car. Do what you want to it.

you can keep your turbo kit and put it on another civic, just get a different manifold.
the best year is 92-95 if you want to do stuff like that.

I say turbo it or swap the engine. Dont waste your money on the building it. I'm actually trying to help you not talk trash about your engine....so take a chill pill.
