you can get up to 15 horses for free but it depends how big you intake manifold is
How about 15 inches???
I think he means mm instead of inches, but then you would still need your t/b port matching to the manifold and they can only be done a few mm before the metal becomes to thin.
Im sure he is talking MM but I have a hard time believing that porting .039 of an inch will add 1 hp expecially if the tb and everything dont match. even if it would make 1 hp he is taking about adding 15 Hp by taking 15MM out that is the equivalent to .5895" and you cant take off that much form the IM like mentioned above you will have nothing left of a stock IM.

The worst part about this is that porting out your stock intake manifold is pointless unless you port your head. Match porting is ok, but going past that is only going to cost you hp because your air will flow nicely through the manifold but then gets hung up on the ledges around the intake ports of the head since the diameter of the intake manifold is larger than the intake ports.

The only way you're gonna screw up with porting, is if you do the runners too big and not getting your head done. You should be fine if you just port out the plentum. I'm sure you'd be fine if you got the runners reworked, but nothing too big or else you won't gain anything. But, 15 hp is absurd for that. Maybe 8 with the intake manifold and throttle body.

What you people do not understand is that when you truely port a throttle body you have to get a aftermarket throttle plate. On top of that the stock head and bottom end can only accept so much air unless it is compressed by way of forced induction. This whole thread is stupid, you dont simply get "free horse power" by doing stupid crap that is not well thought out. A engine is nothing more than a air pump so any time you mess with the flow abilities you had better know wtf you are doing.
