id say go with a b18 over an h22 just because of the weight issues. i think kappa said you'd have to do frame work too.

youd have some frame issues, i think hasport makes mounts though. the weight of a b series with a turbo set up is within less than 100 lbs of an h22

itb's---those are sweet. did anyone else read the wd40 b series shoot-out in import tuner? the lightly built motor with itbs put down the most i believe.. there are also some exceptional kits for the s2ks. i like the h22 myself, it gets a bad rep for being "heavy"...but i like it. i really like a b20/vtec. damn those thin cyllinder walls!!! we need to get a group buy on some totalled crvs and sleeve the blocks and ebay those things. we'd be rolling dough!!!!!

the h22 isnt just heavy. its huge. it sits lopsided (to the front) in a civic, and most of the weight is hanging in front of the wheels, so it makes the car even more nose-heavy than the weight alone would make you think. its a good motor, but with the fantastic choice we have in the B-series VTECs, i cant see choosing the H over a C1 for turbo, or a C5 for NA, except for price. an H is a cheaper way to make it fast, but it doesnt have the potential in the long run. and as for the B20/Vtec, youre asking for problems. thin walls aside, that engien was made for a nice leisurely redline in the mid-6000s. if you take that engine, and repeatedly rev it to or over 8K, you will soon see a massive failure. DOHC VTEC engiens come zero-balanced from the factory to withstand the insane revs they see. non-vtecs dont. its not worth it unless you are doing a full build on the bottom end.
