H22 in a '99 Civic?
I've been searching around the internet for some info about swapping an H22 engine into a 99 Civic. I couldnt find very much here, but on another website, someone said: "The engine bolts in with the aid of a kit from compaines such as HASport, Place Racing, or HCP. This may be a little more expensive but the amount of work is comparable to a B18"
The reason I ask is because I can get an H22 for a bit cheaper, and the higher torque is a plus. I want to know whether it would be more practical to save a lil longer and just get a b18c or get the h22 while I can.
edit- just so you know, I'm looking at suspension replacement already, since mines going bad. I know I'm getting something stiffer this time around, so I don't think the extra weight of the engine is going to screw me over in the long run.

Definitely go with an h22... I believe the weight difference is around 30 lbs for the block alone between an h22 and a b16 shortblock (so figure 50-ish lbs for the complete swap); that's not too much. And the added power and torque is, from what I've heard and seen, un-freaking-believable.

If you aren't going to be putting it in yourself it's going to cost you a lot more for labor than a b series would.
I gotta say that your avatar is really offensive and completly inapropriate for a forum like this one dude...

Alright, thanks for the info. I read somewhere that the h22 swap sometimes requires the AC to be relocated/removed. I don't have a lift or anything, so I probably will need to take it to shop. It's a shame because I want to do it myself (or at least be a part of the installation process,) because I want to learn more about cars in general.
