If you're using your D transmission you'll use all your D axles as well.

I am not sure of what all is involved, but I would say no it is not as simple or easy.

they don't make the kit for the ek yet, that's why i'm looking into this, so i know everything that's involved in the swap, by the time everything is released, they should have corrected some the the previous bugs in the old systems and kits such as hood clearance, ground clearance, slave cylinder travel, as well as mounting positions and engine mounting options. i'm still looking into it, and since we're on the case, if i do this, do you think a usdm h22a1 will be sufficient enough, with maybe a gsr tranny if i can find one hopefully.

These people are expensive, but these mounts may help:

B16 trannys are better than GSR trannys, if we're talking USDM here. Those go for at least $500 though, usually more like 700-800.

what's the code on the one mated to the b16, do you know? and yes, usdm, i'm not importing any crap to just pay ridiculous amounts of $ on shipping and for the simple fact that it's "jdm" when i really don't care. i might be able to find a decent h22A__ something, i'll prolly tear it down, check everything, and replace all gaskets and seals, clean the grease, paint the VC all while i look for a nice b16 tranny and i might throw in some high comp. pistons while i'm at it, just to up the bar (if i do this entire swap, it's gonna be all N/A, i don't like boost). that is, if i can do this swap, and see if my dad will give a helping hand.

The only OEM piston that will fit and bump compression are H22 Type S pistons (JDM only), and the most you'll get out of those is ~11.5:1, which won't net you more than ~230-240 at the wheels tops. For higher than that you'll need $500 forged. I've also heard it's got chitty sleeves that don't take well to stress, whether it's too high of power or rpm. I can't verify that though. Do your research on it.

i got to reading the info on the h/f2d adapter (http://www.bisimoto.com/wst_page4.html) and noticed this: Favorite transboxes include, but not limited to, the '86 to '89 Acura Integra D16A1, and the '97+ Civic ex (due to the ferrous based shiftforks). idk, but i'm under the impression they do have this kitfor the ek... if i am reading this wrong please let me know!

yeah, my bad, i meant to say it wasn't out in EVO's lineup, but Bismoto is a little better company and has a little more background as well as testing than Evolution, but yeah, i'm going to look into this and maybe wait a while (it might be a "while"). i like the h2b idea, but i'm really leaning towards the h2d kit, but i only know about the pros/cons and ideas behind the H2B, i don't know that much about the h2d kit yet.

and about the pistons, i've already looked into the type s 11.5:1, and that's about as high as i want to go, i know they're jdm, but i just didn't want to import some h22 longblock and some b16 tranny and pay all of those fees, as well as worry if it will pass inspection (which we may be getting in a few years).

I think if i do the h22/d swap, then throw in some 11.5:1 pistons, a good header with a retro-fitted V2 and a monster throttlebody, that thing would be a beast and would be some competition to a lot of cars around my area. (aka, might be playing with some ferraris and old vettes, j/k) but i think that would be good for about 240 hp if it's in mint shape.

i think i'm just gonna wait it out for a while and see if they create a new kit or something with a more solid design than the previous models (just like how the Evo is improved from the QSD kit in some ways)
