i have a d16y8 can i put a obd2 vtec gsr head on my motor. or is a head swap even worth it?

 

it can be done. but it will envolve enormous amounts of machine work. i've seen it done once before with a d16y8 with an LS head on it. the guy who did it was a machinst and did it all himself. it envolves relocating the coolant passenges in the head and stuff like that.

so unless you've got money to burn i'de suggest not

 

with as much as your gonna spend to get a gsr head on a SOHC cam block you could buy a gsr motor and install it into your car lets put it that way lol. Good rule is you can only interchange D-series to D-series, Bseries to Bseries, hseries to hseries etc.
