drop the bottom end out, get the crank shot-peened, some carillo rods, and some forged JE pistons, you will be set for up to and beyond 500hp bottom-end wise.

How good would a Garrett gt35/40R turbo be? it is on bearings, so it will probrably start spooling a little sooner than a non bearing turbo of the same size for the power i want. once again iam building for 500-550 whp, iam probrably going to have to run 25 pounds of boost to get that. why does it feal like if i do one thing wrong in driving it or in turing it, i will have catastrophic engine failure and alot of my money and time blown all over the shop?

you would prolly have to resleeve with a set of darton sleeves, i think the stock sleeves are good to about that but i would want the extra reasurrance of the sleeves so you dont have to worry about blowing anythign up

stock sleeves will get you to 350 whp If you drove a 300 WHP civic you would see why shooting for 550whp is too much. A 550whp civic is not a streetable car and will not be fun to drive as a daily driver.

Ok piston sleaves are another i must do then. This vehicle i will get licensed, and sometimes drive it on the street. But overall it will be a track queen. I have another civic that i did a engine swap with a B16a5, port and polish, head job, new rods, 9.5/1 comp. i run 16 psi boost through a t3. i drive that car every day, its laying down 335 whp on a dyno, so pete iam kind of lost as to why the vehicle iam building would not be fun to drive as a daily driver. granted i have to swap back to my stock engine and put everything back to oem on my daily driver to pass the sniffer every year, then i swap back. so iam driving a 335whp civic on a daily basis, and do not understand why my current project would not be streeable, and why it would not be fun to drive. granted there is only 2 power outputs with a build like this, low and doggy, or revving and beastly, i love it though.

Everyone is talking about the engine, which is good but what about the motor mounts and the installation of the engine. I've heard that the K20 can be quite a chore to install into a civic.

i have the bracket kit from hasport, and axle conversions sitting in my garage, and from what i have read the swap will not be all that hard.
