i know im a nube: wanna know if this is possible
i went to this warehouse today and i was talkingabout getting a turbo for my 02 dx coupe (d17a1 engine type); he said(just as i've already heard) that d17 are the hardest to turbo up, and im better off dropping in an rsx engine. i did a slight amount of homework but i just want to know for sure, is it possible to put a k20c into my 02 dx??
is there anything that im going to have to sacrifice for it?

With enough money, almost anything is possible. Although, in my opinion the price to drop a k motor on your car is not worth the trouble, you're better off selling your car and buying a different one.

you think so? cause i mean, yeah thats always an option, but my car already has 120,000 mi on it and i was thinking like, instead of just buying a new car when this goes bad, i should just get a new engine. (one with more power, like any guy)

the price to drop a K series in is not cheap. I have a 2002 ex, i have gone back and forth between turbo and K swap. and the k swap is not cheap. If you want some power go nitrous or turbo. IMO k swap is not worth it in our carsunless you have a lot of money to play with.

well i kinda sorta have a hook up guy, and i might be able to get it for 1-2 grand. i just wanna know if its compatible and what i'd have to change. or does it fit just like my engine? like for example would i need different headers to connect it to my exhaust?

yes, everything would be different....so, that being said....if you do plan on doing this....dont buy anything, save all your money for this swap.
edit: it will fit, and its pretty much the only engine that can be swapped into our gen.

or be like me get either the 02-05 hatchback or 02-06 RSX /s either model or go with the 06-08 si. Its up to you k swap bad juju for the d serries guys. cause u think about it u would need new mounts, axles, air intake, ecu, tranny, wiring harness and with the engine of course yeah there not a pretty penny to just drop one in maybe when the AVTEC comes out then it may drop down in price some dont count on it just yet.
