Wanna know how teh gubment can watch you?
For a long while I kept telling myself that tracking a person by their cellphone is difficult and not entirely accurate. Now I have a practical example to see how accurate and easy it is. I installed google maps on my phone yesterday and it has a "My Location" feature, so I gave it a try and the damn thing pointed to exactly where I was....like withing 500 feet accuracy. My phone doesn't have GPS by the way. So anyhow, I'm enjoying the free GPS ability, but paranoia has set in again.

roto..... What that is using is basicly tracing your phones ip address through the most recent cell towers that it had connected to and using your phones built in antenna to fill in the blanks of where you are..... No need to be paranoid its 500ft and is using internal systems (read: no one else can see it) and public records that by downloading the software you have agreed to allow the phone to know where it is (kinda)......
There is no need to be paranoid.... If you feel like you are being watched remove your phones battery...........
I know alot more than your average ******* (with cell phones) because I work for at&t

Shut up...the gybment is watching us all....oh and I know how it works...I used to be a contractor for verizon at one point and it's common sense. Problem is it's still possible to do this externally.
