I need help

I have a 2000 honda civic ex that i need to replace the motor in. Can anyone tell me if a japanese d16 willfit the same as an american made d16y8? I've heard it both ways, some say it'll work fine, others have told me it won't...

There is no JDM D16. Its the D15B that they have and yes other then the ecu it should fit right in.
