Default I need help, guys...

I drive a 92 Civic LX, yesterday, I think I might have over-revved my car and now the engine has that crackling noise that old Honda's tend to get. #1. Is there anything to do to fix the noise? #2. Is my engine screwed or is it just a noise?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the noise you are referring to valve tick? If it is, you need to adjust the valves.

Well, there's the problem, I'm not very good with cars, so I don't know exactly how to describe it besides when I accelerate, it is like the engine is constantly clearing its throat. If you know one of the REALLY bad Honda customizer, back yard project people...it's like the noise that those cars make, it's not quite as loud, but it's obnoxious to put it simply.
