Default IAC Valve

Ok my friend has a 93 civic ex with the D16 vtec. Here recently his car at low rpms will rev up and down by itself. It has making driving in slow conditions kinda hard and gay, lol. Is there any fix for this or will the valve just have to be replaced. Thanks for any help.

Does this idle issue occur all the time, even when the car is fully warmed up?

If it only happens when the car is cold/warming up, he probably has a vacuum leak somewhere.

Also, if no one else posts in here, make a thread in the General Tech section if the problem persists. We have a bunch of extremely knowledgeable members who post a lot in there helping members with questions like this.

It does it all the time, he has to hold in the clutch otherwise the car will jerk and go on.
