A correctly set up fuel pressure regulator may help a little but is not necessary, And assuming your bottom end is ok you wont need rings or rods for bolt on mods like TB/IM.

You wont need the valve train upgrade with a stage 1 cam, use that money for the manifild and a TB ugrade, it will make a bigger difference.

Funny but i still have to drive to school everyday!!! Here a question for ya. I've heard that a Z6 head on a Y8 block will loose some compression. What head gasket would be the best if i want to regain the compression? or even gain some!

im pretty sure spoon makes high comp gaskets for the d series. they'll raise compression .45 points or something.

I would do the Intake Manifoldm because when you remove the head, ya gotta take off the IM too. My rules say "Never take a stock part off, and put it back, if ya can replace it with a better aftermarket part, that will create more power.

Yeah, the z6 combustion chambers are a bit bigger. About half a point worth.

Some suggestions on head gaskets...
OE Honda metal 3-layer, Aā€™pexi 1.1mm (.043ā€¯) PN 814-h101, Aā€™pexi 1.5mm (.059ā€¯) PN 814-h102, or Greddy 2mm (.079ā€¯)

Obviously the thinner you go, the higher the compression. Where are you trying to get to compression-wise?

I'd like to keep the compression above 9.5. Would it be recommended to let this setup wear in for a while? Would like to do a dyno run before and after to see the diff.

Z6 head with A6 pistons should put you right around 10.1:1, I believe.
