I am thinking of getting k& n 571 for my 93 hatch, 1.5lsi. What benefits, if any will i get without any other engine mods and why has my insurance company quoted me another £60 a year for the priviledge of fitting it??

Mo

your insurance sucks. in the US, we dont have to pay extra for aftermarket stuff, but the companies usually only cover some of the cost of replacing the aftermarket parts. but you should see a little bit of power, a little bit better fuel economy, and a bit of a growl from under the hood on hard acceleration. i assume the insurance goes up because they assume that you will drive it harder once you start adding power upgrades to it.
