Ok i dont have a picture yet i will have one in about an hour. I just got this 92 civic hatch that is supercharged. I thought these only came in a 1.5 sohc engines. why is this one a dohc and how is it a supercharged. i cant find an engine code ne where (unless i am looking int he wrong place) but when i post this picture in an hour if ne one can tell me what engine it isd i would love it and be in their debt

 

The previous owner pobably did an engine swap.

 

should be an identification thing right on the block near the exhaust manifold its almost square may have some grime on it that would make it hard to see what it says you may have to do alittle searching for what i am talking about but you should be able to see it since it almost sticks out like a sore thumb if you find a golden brass color looking code number thing your close if that helps before you take a pic of it

 

yeah i found that i think they had grinded it off i didnt clean it cause i am not there now but i will try to clean it off tommrow ne way here are the pics ne help would be aweosme

lol, that's a swapped engine. It's a DOHC VTEC (as you can read)

i have to replace a lot of **** on that car trust me. i cant even get the damn thing to turn over so i dont know what is going on with the wiring and stuff the guy was a complete idiot so i dont know. i know it is that lol i need to know what typ of engine it is like b series or what not

 

 

In your facebook in the picture before the last one you'll see a spot where the engine code is supposed to be. Pop the hood and look at it.

 

honestly, i dont see it on the block. He took a clear pic of where it was supposed to be, and well...its not there. I know it should be etched into it, but it looks like it was actually sanded down. I dont know maybe its just me missing somthing, but im interested to see if anyone else can find it.

 

The guy who did have it seems to be an idiot judging by all the retarded stuff around the engine bay. That is 80% likely to be a B16a2. B16a2's are the most common swap for an EG hatch. Not only that, supercharged b16's are very common also. You are probably putting down around 170-180 whp.
