Default Looking to drop a vtec 93 hatchback

I have a 1993 civic dx hatchback with stock 1.5 L, 5 speed manual transmission, and am looking to switch it out with a vtec how much money are we talking and what is the difficulty of installing it. Will Post pictures

Hi, it depends where you buy your Head. New or used, ive seen heads for 100-900 thats junk yard to fully built heads. You will need to have a vtec ecu, wire harness(optional), distributor, water pump, timing belt, head gasket as your head. 800 more or less if you plan not to put work on the head and get good deals. Can be difficult if you dont mess with car engines. Will you keep stock harness or wire vtec your self. Honda books are really helpful.
